BenQ MH630 projector

COSTA MESA, Calif. — BenQ America Corp., a manufacturer of visual display solutions, announced that it is now shipping the latest addition in its line of Colorific projectors: the MH630. Designed for conference rooms, classrooms and meeting spaces, the new multipurpose device combines full HD 1080p picture quality with 3D, PC and Blu-ray readiness. To lower the unit’s total cost of ownership, the MH630 features BenQ’s power-saving SmartEco technology to permit up to 6,500 hours of lamp life.

“The new MH630 display has been designed to support the needs of today’s multi-application users by providing incredibly versatile projection at an affordable price point,” said Bob Wudeck, associate vice president for strategy and business development at BenQ America. “Ideal for both permanent installations and presentations on-the-go, the MH630 enhances office presentations, classroom teaching, or content consumption within the home. As a result, users can now experience the high-quality imaging and flexibility normally reserved for higher-priced projectors on an extremely cost-effective device.”

Featuring Colorific image quality, BenQ’s MH630 brings provides accurate color — more than 1 billion colors without any light burn or degradation. Supported by a high 10,000:1 contrast ratio, the unit also provides 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness to deal with higher levels of ambient lighting. To bring customers convenient portability, the MH630 integrates 10W speakers and the ability to display 3D content directly from PCs and Blu-ray devices. Additionally, the MH630 comes with a carrying case.

To further lower total cost of ownership, the MH630 features BenQ’s SmartEco technology, which automatically adjusts lamp power to deliver up to 6,500 hours of lamp life and energy savings of up to 70 percent without any compromise to picture quality. To further reduce power consumption, an “Eco Blank” mode allows users to blank out the screen whenever projection isn’t needed, while a “No Source Detected” mode automatically reduces power consumption to 30 percent when no source has been detected for more than three minutes. With the “Auto Power Off” function, the unit automatically shuts down when not in use for 30 minutes, providing even more energy savings.
