COSTA MESA, Calif. — BenQ America Corp., a manufacturer of video projectors and display technology, announced the launch of the “BenQ Cares” Education Grant. The new initiative provides discounts to qualifying schools, colleges, and universities for BenQ’s IL650 and RP700+ interactive touch panel displays, which have been designed to transform classrooms into collaborative learning spaces.

“BenQ has always had a very strong commitment to education, and we have developed core expertise in interactive display systems that can add a new dimension to classroom learning,” said Patti Postel, CTS, national education sales manager at BenQ America. “With the BenQ Cares Education Grant, we’re offering our award-winning interactive touch panels as powerful teaching tools for educators to engage students and take lesson plans to the next level.”

BenQ’s IL650 is a 65-inch, two-point interactive touch screen display that features anti-image retention and a multiple display administrator for simple installation, setup, and maintenance. The RP700+ is a 70-inch, six-point interactive touch screen display that offers native full HD resolution and a 4,000:1 contrast ratio. In addition, the RP700+ has multiplatform support for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome OS, convenient connectivity options via front panel inputs/outputs, and WiFi display. The discounted flat panels are available from BenQ BEST (BenQ Education Solutions in Technology) and BenQ Integrators’ Choice resellers in the U.S. and Canada.

The BenQ Cares Education Grant is open to all accredited public or private, not-for-profit educational institutions located in the U.S. and Canada. This includes K-12 schools, colleges, universities and vocational/technical schools. Applicants must submit a completed grant application by December 31, 2014, that includes a written description of their intended use of the BenQ displays.

As part of the BenQ Cares program community outreach program, the new initiative has been created to provide institutions across North America with a range of dedicated sales and support initiatives, reinforcing BenQ’s commitment to today’s students, teachers and learning institutions.
