Barco LED Processor Has Delay of Just 2 Milliseconds

With the new modes, the total DX-700 delay can be as low as 42 ms for 50Hz and 35 ms for 59.94 Hz applications.

Barco says it has made enhancements to its DX-700 LED processor with a “minimal delay mode” with a latency of less than 2 ms for progressive and interlaced video sources.

A separate “reduced delay” mode still has a latency of less than 2 ms for progressive sources and 25 ms for interlaced sources.

It’s aimed at live event applications such as press conferences and concerts.

With the new enhanced delay modes, the total DX-700 delay using Barco's true black NX-4 and NX-6 LED walls can be as low as 42 ms for 50Hz and 35 ms for 59.94 Hz applications.

“These enhancements greatly expand the DX-700's capabilities,” said Jed Deame, vice president of image processing for Barco, North America. “For applications such as trade shows, conferences and concerts, where processing delay is critically important to our customers, these features underscore our leadership in the LED processing arena and our ability to provide precision solutions to the rental and staging industry.”
