ATTO Technology Inc., a producer of storage and network connectivity and infrastructure solutions, unveils its latest host bus adapter, the Celerity 16Gb/s Fibre Channel Quad Channel that provides the highest bandwidth and lowest latency available, the company says.
The Celerity line offers reliable and scalable connectivity products providing twice the maximum throughput of previous solutions, ATTO says. The new host bus adapter addresses the needs of Linux and Windows platforms in high performance computing, virtualization and other high input/output environments typically found in enterprise data centers, ATTO says.
Currently available for OEMs, Celerity 16Gb/s Quad-Port Fibre Channel HBAs are designed to support higher IOP capabilities, allowing users to handle the increasing storage requirements seen in more robust virtualized workloads, ATTO says. Additionally, ATTO’s target mode drivers enable OEMs to develop unique 16Gb/s storage and server solutions.
“ATTO is excited to kick off our 25th year of providing the market’s most innovative portfolio of storage and network connectivity solutions with the launch of this industry-first quad-channel 16 Gb/s adapter,” said Wayne Arvidson, the company’s vice president of marketing. “These products deliver the highest bandwidth and port density, providing original equipment manufacturers and system integrators with an unprecedented solution when designing state-of-the-art data infrastructures.”
