Atlona, a provider of digital-connectivity solutions, is now shipping its new line of HDBaseT extenders, which offer higher resolutions at longer distances, Power over Category cable and multiple control options, the company said.
Designed to provide HD connectivity to organizational applications over a common-connector cable, the HDBaseT line is comprised of the RSNET for longer distances and complete control; the ROADNET for rental and staging applications; and the DVI RSNET for electronics with DVI connectors, according to Atlona.
In addition, infrared is available for applications that require only IR control and HD is provided for applications that rely on local control, Atlona said. All the units are compatible with Atlona PRO3HD matrix switchers and HDCAT distribution amplifiers, according to the company.
The new HDBaseT family of extenders provides Atlona’s customers the flexibility, performance capabilities and durability to handle the most ambitious HD installations, said Steve Heintz, Atlona’s senior product manager. “The HDBaseT DVI receiver and transmitter ensure that connections are never compromised, while our recently-released ROADNET transmitter and receiver are built to withstand the rigors of today’s temporary rental and staging applications,” Heintz said.
