SAN JOSE, CA–Atlona has unveiled their first line of AV products designed for integrating and distributing 4K and UHD video, audio, and RS-232 control over IP. The five products making up the OmniStream line include the AT-OMNI-111 Single-Channel Networked AV Encoder, AT-OMNI-112 Dual-Channel Networked AV Encoder, AT-OMNI-232 Dual-Channel Dante Networked Audio Interface, and for decoders, the single-channel AT-OMNI-121 and the dual-channel AT-OMNI-122.
Both the dual-channel encoders and decoders (the AT-OMNI-112 and AT-OMNI-122) process two independent 4K and UHD video streams in a single rack enclosure. Each encoder and decoder can handle two streams simultaneously. OmniStream supports SMPTE VC-2 video compression and SMPTE 2022 forward error correction and selectable AES-128 encryption.
The AT-OMNI-232 Dante network interface is used for transmitting and receiving two-channel audio over the network. It integrates microphones and PCs into third-party audio DSP and the Dante system.
The OmniStream line decoders feature 4K upscaling and downscaling with 4:4:4 video processing. They can downmix multichannel audio and deliver de-embedded two channel audio outputs and can be powered with a PoE-equipped Gigabit switch.
