A free “live streaming workshop” hosted by Advanced Systems Group (ASG) at the South San Francisco Conference Center is scheduled for Feb. 15, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The—ASG Live Streaming Workflow Event—seeks to help attendees understand the components needed to get a message out using new methods of viewing media from “Capture” to “Switch” to “Encode” to “Stream” to “Delivery,” ASG says.
The workshop will offer methods for engaging an audience “on their computer, tablet or smart phone,” and attendees can learn “to monetize” a stream with tools such as Automated Ad Insertion.
There will also be an opportunity to meet vendors who can provide insight and tips on streaming “to a global audience of unlimited size,” as well as discuss the technology in general and what role vendors can play in getting a message out to the masses, ASG says. The vendors attending and their presentations are:
- NewTek, Live Switching with the TriCaster.
- Elemental, Adaptive Bit Rate (ABR) Streaming.
- BitGravity, Content Delivery Networks.
- Inlet Technologies, Automated Ad Insertion/Monetization.
The workshops and lunch are free, but space is limited and event organizers urge attendees to reserve a spot. That can be done by clicking Register here or by sending an e-mail to email@example.com or by calling 510-654-8300.
