APEM Components Inc., a manufacturer of man-machine interfaces, has merged with CH Products, a producer of industrial joysticks and control devices.

While the merger was not made public until May 23, the companies say it took effect on April 1, and that the newly combined companies have the advantage of promoting a single brand that offers a full-service supply of man-machine interface products.

APEM will also provide a global supply of products through manufacturing centers on four continents, and CH Products, well known in the aviation, gaming and simulation markets, will remain a trade name of APEM, the companies say.
