VITEC to Demo IPTV, HEVC/H.264 Tools at GV Expo

SUNNYVALE, CALIF.—VITEC will use the 2017 Government Video Expo to showcase its latest generation IPTV and ISR streaming, distribution, archiving and playback systems, as well as some of its HEVC/H.264 encoder and decoders.

Vitec Diamond Tough

One of the products ready for the spotlight at GV Expo is VITEC’s EZ TV platform, an end-to-end system for dissemination and content management of full motion video streams and offline files to desktops, TVs and mobile devices. The platform enables local and remote users throughout the enterprise network to view, archive, retrieve and share ISR footage video assets with KLV/STANAG metadata.

VITEC encoder products set to be displayed are the MGW Diamond Tough HEVC/H.264 encoder and the MGW Pico Tough H.264 encoder. Both systems are DO-160 and MIL-STD compliant and can stream any type of video originating from ground vehicles, manned or unmanned airborne platforms and marine vessels.

The MGW Ace encoder and decoder HEVC 10-bit system is also set to be presented. The MGW Ace is powered by VITEC’s second-generation HEVC codec to deliver videos at any bitrate. The encoder features a range of I/Os, built-in Zixi and Pro-MPEG FEC stream protection technology to stream video, audio and KLV metadata. When paired with the MGW Ace decoder, the end-to-end solution delivers video streams over any network.

VITEC will be located at booth 414 throughout the 2017 GV Expo, which takes place from Nov. 28-30 in Washington.

For-A Switcher, Video Server Coming to 2017 GV Expo
