WASHINGTON—G&D North America will be on the GV Expo show floor with its ControlCenter Digital Matrix Switch (CCD288), which provides 288 ports and enables a versatile and flexible KVM infrastructure. To expand beyond the 288 ports, two or more CCD288 frames can be interconnected to provide a very large matrix switch.
The company says one cable TV network operations center, an early U.S. systems customer, has expanded the original single CCD288 to a total of three in 2017, now having available up to 864 ports (less several ports required for interconnection). This particular cable TV channel customer’s more than 80 operators now can control more than 400 servers, running 24/7 every day. The modular approach by G&D allows I/O cards fitted with CATx and fiber, enabling a flexible signal distribution architecture.
Government Video Expo attendees can see the CCD288 in booth 304.
