Byproducts from the production of delicious Krispy Kreme doughnuts are at the center of a dispute in the Washington, D.C., suburb of Fairfax County.

According to a May 28 story in The Examiner, the county has sued the baker for clogging and destroying a section of the county’s sewage system.

The county is trying to present Krispy Kreme with a $1.9 million repair tab, the paper said.

“At one point, public works officials ran a closed-circuit camera along a pipe to show the grease deposits, only to get the camera stuck in the buildup,” the paper said.

Kripsy Kreme denied the allegations. The full story is here.
