Early this morning, President Barack Obama signed a bill to raise the country's debt ceiling and fund government operations until at least Jan. 15, 2014. Federal workers who had been furloughed for the past 16 days were told to return to work this morning, ending Washington's most contentious and partisan two weeks in recent memory.

As for me... well, at the moment I'm writing this, the National Zoo in Washington has not yet restored its panda cam, which means my wife will still be grumpy about the effects of the partial government shutdown. However, we have hopes that panda cam will be restored soon, and we can go back to getting our daily dose of panda cub cute.
