EPA Wants Video Teleconferencing System Installed

Integration would be conducted at Boston regional headquarters
Publish date:

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 1 headquarters in Boston is seeking bids on the integration of a video-teleconferencing system at its Information Center Training Room in the McCormack Building.

The EPA uses the ICTR for in-house trainings, which often consist of dozens of participants, according to the solicitation. However, the ICTR currently lacks the ability to perform video teleconferencing, yet that feature is necessary in order for users to attend trainings from other locations.

The integration of a video conferencing system would provide EPA Region 1 with the ability to extend the potential class sizes for training events, and would enable Region 1 to work with other regions and headquarters to either host or attend EPA video teleconferencing trainings, the solicitation said.

This opportunity is a small business set aside, the solicitation said. The request for quotes was originally issued July 18, but it was amended and re-issued July 22. The original deadline for responses is July 29 at 3 p.m. EST, and there is no indication that has changed. The solicitation number is RFQ-MA-13-00014.
