Air Force Seeks 2 Types of Cameras

High-speed photography cameras and a surveillance system are sought

The U.S. Air Force has issued a request for bids for two types of camera systems, including a high-speed photography camera, and security cameras to be installed a dormitory.

In the first solicitation, the Air Force Test Center at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. is seeking quotes for two Phantom Miro M310 cameras and accessories. A technical requirement of the cameras is that they be color cameras with 12 GB of memory.

While the solicitation does not say the opportunity is limited to small businesses, the document does ask vendors to “identify your business size in your response.” In addition, vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management in order for an award to be made.

The solicitation was issued July 1, and the deadline for responses is July 17 at 11 a.m. Central time. The solicitation number is F1TBAM3114A001.

In the second solicitation, the Air Force is seeking quotes for the installation of a surveillance system at a dormitory located at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan.

The Air Force is requiring bidders to provide supporting information with their submissions that describes “in detail at least one, but no more than three, recent/relevant projects that the offeror’s proposed project team has completed within the past five years (or that are nearing completion) that are similar or greater in type, scope, size and complexity to this acquisition.”

Vendors are to “provide sufficient factual information to demonstrate the capability of the project team proposed for this project to successfully complete the current acquisition. Specifically address experience that demonstrates the capacity of the contractor to provide the government with a closed-loop, 1080 progressive scan, high-definition security system with any and all accompanying documentation translated into English (for the purposes of operation and maintenance of the system),” the solicitation said.

The solicitation was issued July 3, and the deadline for responses is Aug. 7 at 8 p.m. Hawaii time. The solicitation number is FA5270-13-R-0048.
