DHS Seeks TV, Wireless Equipment; Health & Human Services Call-Center Information

Customs and Border Protection stations; Indian Health Service’s medical centers solicitations

The Department of Homeland Security has issued a request for bids from contractors to install television-service outlets, digital video, multi-stream HD cards, WiFi and broadband at nine Customs and Border Protection stations and facilities in Texas.
There are no set-aside restrictions connected to the solicitation, but all interested vendors must be registered in the “System for Award Management Database,” according to DHS.
In addition, all interested vendors must submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. Each seller shall include in their bids the individual pricing for all the items, DHS said.
The solicitation number is 20074246-3. It was issued June 20, and the deadline for responses is 1 p.m. June 27. The winning vendor must deliver the items within 15 days of receiving the order, DHS said.

The Department of Health & Human Services’ Indian Health Service is seeking information on software and hardware that is compatible with Alcatel Lucent Omin PCX Enterprise telecommunication system in use at the IHS’ Phoenix Indian Medical Center.
The IHS is conducting a market survey to identify contractors and product information for the services’ telecommunication call center. The PIMC has three locations, and it seeks a solution that supports “complete virtualization within a VMware environment,” the solicitation said.
The solicitation number is RFI1206135, and it was issued June 20. The deadline for responses is 4 p.m. PST July 12.
