Roscor, provider of a variety of big-time video and multipedia products, has released an iPhone app to calculate video storage requirements.
StorageCalc, a free application available at the AppStore, calculates the amount of disk space you will need to store video, or the length of video that will fit on a specified amount of storage space, or the total bitrate including audio. Users can adjust the audio bitrate and the number of audio channels that will be encoded with the video.
StorageCalc works with all iPhones and iPod Touches running version 3.0 software or later.
AJA Video Systems has released a similar App, DataCalc, that supports a wide array of video and compression formats.
