Redflex Lands $34 Million Contract in Saudi Arabia

Traffic enforcement system provider Redflex Traffic Systems is expanding its enforcement operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a new five-year contract.

Redflex systems are already in operation in a pilot program in the cities of Riyadh and Jeddah.

The $34 million contract, signed with the Etihad Al Afandi consortium, is for three major areas: the Eastern Province, including the cities of Dammam,

Khobar and Dhahran; Aseer Province, including the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait and Ahad Rufaidah; and the region of Tabuk.

The contracts are for the supply of speed enforcement systems and for the setup and operation of a Violation Processing Center.

Redflex says it is the largest provider of digital traffic enforcement services in North America has contracts with more than 250 U.S. cities, photo speed programs in nine states and photo red light programs in 21 states.
