Ocean Systems, a provider of forensic multimedia analysis and clarification solutions, is sponsoring a free Webinar Tues., Feb. 3, to walk through the steps of applying for its dTective with ClearID forensic video, audio and image clarification system through an upcoming Department of Homeland Security grant.

A total of $1.6 billion is available for these grants.

Ocean Systems will assist agencies in the grant application process by providing a sample product solution narrative and other helpful tools that include technical descriptions and system capabilities summaries.

The federally funded grants reviewed during this Webinar will be the DHS State Homeland Security Program (SHSP), with $861 million available to all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and U.S. territories; and the DHS Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI), with $799 million available to the 62 highest-risk urban areas. Emergency responders, law enforcement and staff of security and rescue agencies are eligible for this funding.

“This Webinar will assist state and local agencies in acquiring the funds the Federal Government has made available to them,” said Ocean Systems President Angelo Guarino. “Given the nation’s economic challenges, we can expect the historic pattern of massive job losses to lead to an increase in crime. In times likes these it’s important that public safety officials have the proper tools and training that allow them to efficiently process their case load. Ocean Systems dTective with ClearID provides the tools to help them achieve this goal,"

dTective with ClearID is available in both office and mobile configurations.

The Webinar will be Tues., Feb. 2, at 2 p.m. (EST). To register, go to www.oceansystems.com.
