Electrosonic is unveiling new low-cost DVI/RGB-over-IP encoders and decoders to facilitate the transmission of graphics across IP networks.

The new ES6000 series, specifically designed for pro-AV applications, will be introduced at InfoComm 09, June 17-19 in Orlando.

Graphics-over-IP virtual switching can replace RGB and video matrix switchers with a single solution that enables delivery of all audio and video media via multicast in real time over a single IP network.

The virtual switching technology allows lets users route media anywhere in a facility.

Electrosonic will also highlight its line of HD video players and a new multi-image display processor.

Electrosonic Group Founder-Director Robert Simpson will get into the subject in the session, “The Transport of High Resolution Images Over Networks,” in Room W311B Weds., June 17, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at InfoComm.

He’ll cover how standard Ethernet computer networks can be used for carrying electronic images, how image compression works, and what the standard and proprietary methods of encoding are. Attendees will learn about many applications using networked distribution of images, including some whose needs are not met by existing standards.

Also at the booth will be the world debut of Electrosonic’s VN-Quantum Connect multi-image display processor, which can integrate and scale video and graphic images onto single or multiple displays

Designed exclusively for directly connected sources (including RGB, DVI, composite and S-Video), it supports a wide variety of input and output combinations while retaining unmatched source image details at full image frame rates. Up to 128 windows can be sized and placed anywhere across multiple displays. It’s aimed at visualization, security and surveillance, military uses, utilities, traffic monitoring and network operation centers.

Electrosonic will be at InfoComm Booth #4719.
