GV Expo: Crestron Flashes AV Control, Distribution Gear

Crestron will come to GV Expo with a variety of new products for AV workflow.

Among the new products is the MPC-M5, a 10-button AV room controller designed for class- and meeting rooms. It can be programmed for any function, including system power, input source selection, transport control, volume adjustment, and lighting presets. It interfaces directly with peripherals via onboard control ports, and in addition to high-speed Ethernet, there is a bidirectional RS-232 COM port, an IR/serial port, two relays, and two input ports right on the rear panel.

Also recently unveiled by Crestron is its V Panel HD Touchpanel monitor. Offered in 12- and 15-inch versions, and at 2 jnches deep, a V-Panel can function as both a touchpanel control interface and flat panel HD display.

Finally, Crestron has released its DigitalMedia line, a group of products for switching and distributing HD signals. DigitalMedia products accept and distribute all analog audio and video, high-res computer, HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, Ethernet and USB keyboard / mouse control. DM also processes the embedded data, including HDCP, EDID and CEC.

Crestron will be at the Government Video Expo, Dec. 2-3 in Washington, at Booth No. 601.
