RGB Spectrum, a producer of videographic and decision support system technologies, unveils its Hydra multi-channel scaler which provides scaling and format conversion of signals up to 3840x2400, including digital visual interface (DVI) dual-link to single-link conversion.
The user-configurable system offers compactness, with up to eight scaler/converters housed in a 2RU chassis, RGB Spectrum says. Hydra offers scaling, format conversion in the multi-channel, multi-function system with up to eight fully independent channels. Internal switching allows any input to be routed to multiple processors, with each output having a unique scaling, format, and pan and zoom, the company says.

The Hydra scaler/format converter offers signal quality and versatility in the tradition of RGB Spectrum products, the company says. The new unit replaces the popular Quadra scaler, with more features and double the capacity of its predecessor, the firm adds.
