Low-Cost Video Tools for Opening Government

VIRGINIA—The Open Media Foundation is rolling out its Open Media Project for Government Self-Service Toolkit, which allows state and local governments live-stream public meetings. Making it available through YouTube and other emerging free tools, the OMP offers automated transcripts that can then be stored in a searchable library, the ability to upload and timestamp agenda items and parse calendar items.
