Horton Productions Shoots Educational, Doc Footage With Panasonic

NEWARK, N.J.—Norman, Okla.-based Horton Production has recently worked on some educational and documentary projects utilizing the Panasonic AG-DVX200 4K large-sensor handheld camera.

Horton specializes in on-location 4K productions. Among the projects that it has employed the AG-DVX200 for is “American Con: The Meetings,” a documentary on investment fraud that debuted on PBS, and educational videos for interactive learning community Janux, which is run through the University of Oklahoma.

Patrick Horton, owners and operator of Horton Productions, says he is able to use the camera as his lone device on some shoots, while also customizing DVX200 scene files to match other cameras on multi-cam shoots. Horton also identified the camera’s ability for multi-step zoom control and tracking as key features.

In addition, Horton says that he has also used the AG-DVX200 for NextThought.com, a web-based learning systems provider.
