Canon U.S.A. has rolled out the PowerShot N digital camera—which is equipped with enhanced wireless capabilities that connect the camera to mobile devices so users can upload images instantly—as part of its PowerShot lineup.
Creative Shot is a new imaging mode that automatically analyzes an image and creates a series of five versions with varying composition, lighting and color for an array of options, the company says. In that mode, users compose their shot, and Creative Shot will render variations of the shot in different color modes, crops and styles, while maintaining the original image.
The camera also features a 2.8-inch capacitive, tilt-touch panel liquid crystal display, enabling users to capture creative images at unique angles. Its shutter and zoom ring is located on both the top and bottom of the lens to enable shooting from difficult positions.
The PowerShot N offers an 8x optical zoom and a 28 millimeter wide-angle lens, packaged with a 12.1- megapixel high-sensitivity complementary metal oxide semiconductor sensor and DIGIC 5 Image Processor.
Users can also record 1080p full high definition video with a dedicated movie button, the company says. With the built-in Hybrid Auto and Face ID systems, focus can be achieved quickly. Canon’s Intelligent IS System enables the camera to select optimal image stabilization settings.
