Predator Joins Haiti Relief Effort

American troops and others working on relief missions in Haiti have a new set of eyes in the sky: A Predator unmanned aerial system has reached Haiti.

It joins an Air Force Global Hawk diverted earlier from Afghanistan

It's the first humanitarian mission by the Air Force's Predator UAS, the Pentagon Channel reported. Rapid coordination among the FAA, Air Force and Haitian government made it possible, the channel said.
