Website of the Week: Haiti Relief
February 1, 2010

As soon as efforts to bring rescue and relief to Haiti began, folks in the White House had to make a parallel effort to get as many Haiti-related information resources out to the public.

Part of that effort is a page on the White House Website. It leads with the 30-second video of Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton soliciting support of relief funds. The site is simple and straightforward, leading to ways to donate money, links to news about U.S. relief efforts, and a linked-logo you can import onto your own Website, here:

Help for Haiti: Learn What You Can Do

Maybe most useful, it has a people finder. Users can enter names and information about individuals into it, or search for such information.

The site doesn't have much flash but has the basics of what are needed in a relief-related site right now, with an appropriately sober tone. So for getting Haiti-related official information in one place, the White House Haiti Relief page is the Government Video Website of the Week!
