Now, View OnSSI Surveillance Video on a Mobile Device
September 17, 2009

In a move that will help give first responders and better intel when they need it, On-Net Surveillance Systems said it has integrated MobileCamViewer software from mobiDeos Inc. with its Ocularis video recorder products. This enables OnSSI customers to view live video streams on mobile devices including iPhone, BlackBerry and others.

“The successful integration with MobileCamViewer further extends the range of applications for OnSSI’s Ocularis IP Video Management platform,” said Mulli Diamant, OnSSI vice president of Sales. “There are obvious benefits of heightened situational awareness and being able to use a video surveillance system in conjunction with hand-held communication devices that further maximizes users’ investments in IP-based systems.”

MobileCamViewer, which is available as a service or with enterprise local installation, streams live, high-quality video from OnSSI's Ocularis SMB and Ocularis DS, NetDVR and NetDVMS network video recorders to users’ mobile devices. The MobileCamViewer Client Server System is compatible with more than 95 percent of available mobile devices including the iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Palm, Nokia, and Motorola.

“This new capability will help security professionals using OnSSI's NetDVR and NetDVMS to reduce response times and react to situations or incidents in a more informed way," said mobiDEOS CEO Sri L. Palasamudram.

Ocularis IP Video Management solution is an open-architecture, non-proprietary, video-centric software platform that allows viewing, management and recording of video from an unlimited number of IP and non-IP video surveillance cameras.
