The VHS era is ending for the New Jersey State Police, according to a story in the Star-Ledger.
The state is replacing VHS recorders in some 600 patrol cars at a cost of $7,000 apiece, with state funding of $4.65 million, according to the paper.
New Jersey now has 165,000 VHS tape cluttering its evidence rooms.
