Government Video Salutes top new products at GV Expo
by GV staff

Last week, the editorial team of Government Video magazine searched the aisles of the 11th annual Government Video Technology Expo in Washington, DC, for exceptional new products at the show. A handful of those products were recognized with the Government Video Salute.
This year, 13 products won the Salute award. Some are more traditional in nature, such as the Panasonic AG-HMC150 camcorder. Others, including the VIEVU PVR-LE body-worn camera, are geared toward government-specific applications. And winners like the Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera (which also shoots HD video) hint at potential new possibilities for video professionals.
You couldnt help but be impressed with the great products on the GV Expo show floor, said editor Mark J. Pescatore

. From new cameras to support gear to software, the exhibitors really delivered.
Im proud that our Salute award highlights great products as well as an important segment of the professional video market, added Eric Trabb, vice president of sales and publisher of the NewBay Media Video/Broadcast Group, which publishes Government Video.
