Community broadcaster opts for new router
by GV staff
July 21, 2008

Tualatin Valley Community Television has selected a UTAH-400/64 routing switcher, the Utah SC-4 control system, and associated controllers and control panels from Utah Scientific to support local access community programming for about 450,000 viewers in 14 communities in the Washington County, OR, area.
TVCTV's programming includes local government meeting coverage, community productions, and call-in shows
. The broadcaster has three production studios, seven remote studios located in local government meeting rooms, two small mobile units, and one fully digital mobile production truck.
TVCTV broadcasts via Verizon in SDI digital format and via Comcast in analog format. The UTAH-400's ability to route analog and digital signals simultaneously without external equipment will make things more efficient.
