Cobham Surveillance has been awarded an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity contract for wireless IP Mesh systems, IP hardware decoders, and microwave antennas from a major U.S. federal agency.

The award of this five-year framework agreement has been made under the Radio Frequency (RF) Initiative of the U.S. Department of Justice, and will assist the Department in the migration of its wireless spectrum networks, part of what is more commonly referred to as Auction 66.

The IP Mesh Systems supplied by Cobham will provide a robust and spectrally efficient means of deploying and managing ad-hoc wireless networks for the purposes of video, audio and tracking and locating in a variety of challenging environments.

Cobham Surveillance, part of Cobham's Avionics and Surveillance Division, has provided specialist products and services to law enforcement, national security and search and rescue agencies for more than 40 years. Surveillance capabilities include audio, video, tracking, locating and sensors in airborne, marine, land and special purpose applications.
